Medicine without a prescription

US federal law requires a valid prescription before a prescription medicine can be supplied, checked on September 26, 2026.

Ask how your health will be checked and how someone will decide whether to write a prescription. An offer that skips those steps leaves a clear gap.

The Food and Drug Administration is often called FDA. This agency reviews US medicines.

Check what is behind the page

Official-looking seals and logos can be faked, the Federal Trade Commission warns.

The FDA flags a missing licensed doctor for questions after delivery, as well as damaged packaging or labels with a false pharmacy name.

Get two complete names: the person providing care and the pharmacy. Check their licences with the state offices that issue them. Ask about anything that does not match.

Why is this price so low?

Ask which costs the quote covers, which charges recur, and which product it is for.

Use a price clue with other checks

A generic copies a brand-name product and has approval as a medicine.

A price that looks unrealistically cheap is a warning sign flagged by the FDA.

A real discount for paying without insurance or an approved generic medicine can also cost much less than a drug company's published price.

Ask why the offer costs less than other offers for the same medicine and amount. Price alone cannot settle the question. Check how you would get a prescription, which pharmacy would supply it, and who would answer questions later.
